Mr. Shaohu Luan Led a Group to Attend the 4th Belt and Road Summit

Recently, the 4th Belt and Road Summit, co-organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. With the theme of “Creating and Realising Opportunities”, the Summit provided an in-depth analysis of how Hong Kong can play to its strengths under the Belt and Road Initiative and assist participants from different countries and professional fields to seize new opportunities. The Belt and Road Summit invited more than 80 officials, business leaders and representatives of international organizations from Hong Kong, China Mainland, countries along the Belt and Road and other countries related to it, attracting about 5,000 participants from over 60 countries and regions.
Through the Summit, direct exchanges with foreign businessmen broadened lawyers' horizons, promoted the DHH, and helped to further develop foreign-related business. Besides getting an insight into speakers’ presentations on the development opportunities of various industries under the Initiative, they also used the platform to learn more about the investment environment and opportunities of different regions and industries, and to timely negotiate investment and business cooperation plans.
During the Summit, Sergey Borovskiy, Executive Vice President of DHH, represented Beijing DHH Russia Legal Center and gave a speech on“New Opportunities for Russian and CIS Enterprises in the Context of the Belt and Road”. In his speech, Mr. Borovskiy focused on showing DHH’s strong two-way service capabilities in Russia and Russian-speaking countries, which won wide acclaim from all the guests.

The two-day Belt and Road Summit focused on how Hong Kong, as an international business and financial centre, can play an important role in supporting the Belt and Road Initiative, and explored business investment opportunities, sustainable international infrastructure and technological innovation based on the important national development strategy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In the context of the Belt and Road, DHH lawyers will continue to adhere to "Professionalism and Concentration” to provide high quality, efficient legal services to global clients, and will steadily improve the overall level of internationalization of DHH.
