January 11th, 2018 marks the grand opening of DHH Law Firm Hong Kong Office (“DHH Hong Kong Office”). In celebration of this special occasion, DHH Hong Kong, China Legal Service (H.K.) LTD. and China Association of Corporate Counsel for Small and Medium Enterprises (CACC) jointly hosted the seminar “Financing, Financing——A seminar on Financing Paths and Risks from the Perspective of Hong Kong as an International Financial Center and the Opening Ceremony of DHH Law Firm Hong Kong Office” at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong.
The seminar and opening lined up renowned speakers from finance, business, academia and legal circles, including Mr. Liu Chunhua, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Law of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (LOCPG HK), Prof. Shen Sibao, the President of International Economic Law Society of China Law Society, Mr. Du Mao, the Director of China Legal Service (H.K.) Ltd.，Mr. Wang Fusheng, the Director of Hong Kong Industrial General Association Ltd.，Mr. Bai Tao, the General Secretary of the Law Affairs Committee of China Entrepreneur Association，Mr. Shi Wen, the Chairman of Huanyu CHINA – ASEAN Legal Cooperation Center, Mr. Zhong Chuangxin, the Senior Vice President of Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Mrs. Wu Jianfang, the Executive Director of China Academy of Culture Limited.
This seminar was hosted by Mr. Jiang Qi, Managing Partner of DHH, the Director of DHH Beijing Headquarters and Hong Kong Office. The seminar broke down to three panels, focusing on Equity Financing, Bond Financing and Trade Financing respectively. Mr. Zhong Chuangxin, Senior Vice President of Hong Kong Stock Exchange, interpreted the new trend and requirements of IPOs in Hong Kong. Mr. Zhu Sheng, the President of Hong Kong Energy Investment Limited, and Mr. Li Jun, the Vice President of CNQC International Holdings Limited, shared the experience of the recent bond insurance and the operation in the overseas capital market. Mr. Chen Wentao, the Vice President of Shandong Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd, shared his experience in trade financing and dispute resolution. Mr. Sun Kaiyang, the Vice President of Hisense (Hong Kong), joined other representatives from business, finance and legal circles to provide lively remarks and engage with DHH lawyers.
At the seminar, DHH Hong Kong Office officially released “Three Financing” legal services: Financing Paths, Financing Risks, and Financing Dispute Resolution. DHH Hong Kong is poised to build a professional team, dedicated to provide professional and in-depth turnkey legal service in Equity Financing, Bond Financing and Trade Financing in Mainland and Hong Kong.
After the seminar, “Communication Regarding the Legal Culture of Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area” and the Opening Ceremony of DHH Hong Kong Office” officially started. Senior Partner Xu Jie and Partner Wu Leyun of Beijing DHH Law Firm emceed the ceremony. Prof. Shen Sibao, the President of International Economic Law Society of China Law Society, made opening remarks, praising the effort of Beijing DHH Law Firm to offer quality legal service in the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area through Hong Kong Office. The leaders and distinguished guests then went on inaugurating the establishment of “CHINA – ASEAN Legal Cooperation (Hong Kong) Center”. DHH Hong Kong Office, as the CHINA – ASEAN Legal Cooperation (Hong Kong) Center, will make significant contribution to China-ASEAN legal cooperation and in safeguarding the legal rights and interests of ASEAN and Chinese enterprises, by virtue of DHH’s talent pool, geographic advantages and coordination in legal service.
