The First Event of China Law Center was Held Successfully in Washington D.C.

On 19th May 2017, the first event of China Law Center was held successfully in Washington DC. Ms. Ming Hu, National Outstanding Lawyer and also the Vice Chair of Partner’s Meeting of DHH gave a lecture named “China’s Legal System in A Nutshell” to legal practitioners, scholars, businessmen, government officials and NGO personnel.
Ms. Hu’s lecture focused on the evolution and four-level structure of China's legal system, which are Constitution, Law, Administrative Regulations and Local Regulations. Ms. Hu brought her decades of legal experience, shed lights on the framework and gave examples of major laws and regulations that constitute each level. This lecture made listeners have a basic understanding of China’s legal system and received widespread praises. After Ms. Hu’s lecture, listeners and DHH lawyers had a discussion on the differences between legal systems of China and US.
