DHH Washington D.C. Law Office Is Invited to Attend the Forum Held by Law Library of Congress and International Law Institute
ILI was founded in 1955, grew out from a training institution to German and developing countries. The institution was built by Georgetown University for coordinating the USA to reestablish the “Marshall Plan” after World War II. It became independent in 1987, headquartered in Washington DC and had branches all around the world including German, Italy, Turkey, Egypt, Uganda, Nigeria and Chile. Currently, it is a commercial professional training institution, which opens 30-40 training projects every year, and its featured training covers legal English, government procurement, anti-corruption. ILI also customizes special projects for foreign governments, the World Bank and other cooperative institutions. ILI helped more than 40 countries draw up and enforce new laws. Until now, ILI has more than 500 professional trainers from legal circles, educational circles and governments, and has provided legal trainings for over 31000 officers, lawyers, business professionals and scholars from 186 countries. It is the preferred training institution of the World Bank as well as the training institution of State Department and other development banks. The corporation between ILI and China began in 1978. In July 2017, ILI will train China Law Society, and in September 2017, ILI will offer trainings to China Tobacco about management, financing and listing.
Law Library of Congress was established by United States Congress in 1832, and currently is the largest law library around the world which has a collection of 2.8 million books. Its responsibility is providing researches and legal information to United States Congress, Federal Court and administration institutions and also providing related services to the public.
