Beijing DHH Law Firm Holds Sino-Russian Lawyers Cooperation Seminar

In the afternoon of March 7, Cooperation between Beijing DHH Law Firm and St. Petersburg Lawyers and Legal Instruments Translation Seminar was held by Beijing DHH Law Firm, Sino-Russian Business Park and SV-VOSTOK (a translation company) at St. Petersburg Sino-Russian Business Park. Consuls of Chinese consulate in St. Petersburg, the chairman of Russian Baltic Lawyers’ Association, the vice director of Intellectual Property Office of St. Petersburg State University and partners from top 10 law firms in St. Petersburg were invited to the seminar.
The chairman of the partners’ conference of DHH Luan Shaohu made a keynote speech during the seminar. He stated that because of the close ties between China and Russia, the demand of Chinses and Russian investors for legal services kept rising. Nevertheless, both China Law and Russia Law cover such comprehensive fields that only unilateral lawyers or firms are not able to deal with, moreover, there can also be issues of clients’ confidence and language. Hence, the cooperation between Chinese lawyers and Russian lawyers is urgently needed, and only through this way can Sino-Russian trade and friendship develop healthily and sustainably.
After the seminar, the director of the consular section of Chinese consulate in St. Petersburg Li Qi spoke highly of the seminar. All the participants also showed their wills to jointly help Chinese enterprises in Russia and Russian enterprises going into China to solve legal issues.
