DHH Moscow Lawyers were Invited to Attend the Seminar of ＂Russian Chinese Product Importers Organization＂

Recently, DHH Moscow lawyers were invited to participate in a seminar of "Russian Chinese Product Importers Organization" organized by the Supplier Professional Committee and attended by RSPP. More than 50 representatives of major Russian logistics companies and Chinese product importers participated in the event, including freight company Trasko, NLP Group, international logistics company Acex, Lamoda logistics department, etc.
During the event, participants discussed the questions faced by Russian companies, and foreign companies in working with Chinese partners: how to select suppliers in China, how to protect their rights when working with Chinese partners, and what to pay attention to when signing trade contracts with Chinese partners, what mistakes Russian importers often make when working with China and how to avoid them and so on.
Maxim Kuznetsov, VP of RSPP, shared the experience of RSPP doing business with China and provided participants with some tips on how to avoid common mistakes when importing from China. Irik Saitov, Senior Expert at Newmark, shared his experience using deferred payment mechanisms with Chinese suppliers within the scope of SINOSURE insurance.
DHH lawyers also spoke at the event. The presentation was prepared by Tingting Wang, Executive Director of DHH Moscow Office and was presented on the spot by Alexandra, a Russian lawyer. DHH lawyers introduced the law firm's situation and direction of business, as well as issues that Russian clients might be interested in working with Chinese partners. In addition, they shared practical experience related to debt collection disputes with China: a detailed explanation of China's judicial structure, how Russian side can protect their rights, how to choose Chinese courts, how to choose arbitration, how to recognize and enforce the judgments of foreign courts in China, and so on.
At the end of the event, DHH lawyers interacted with other participants, shared the experience of the firm, exchanged business dealings, and agreed on the possibility of further interaction and cooperation.
