DHH (Moscow) Law Firm is delegated to attend “Russia and China: stride into new bilateral relation”

On May 29th, 2017, Mr. Lu Sentong, the executive director of Beijing DHH (Moscow) Law Firm, attended the third China-Russia Relation Seminar “Russia and China: stride into new bilateral relation” .
This seminar was cosponsored by Russian International Affairs Council and China-Russia Friendship Association. Matviyenko, the president of the Russian Federation Council; Evanoff, the former foreign minister and the president of the Russian International Affairs Council; Mezentsev, the president of the China-Russia Friendship Association; Igor Morgulov, the deputy foreign minister; Rashid Alimov, the secretary general of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization; Wang Zhan, the president of the Shanghai Academy of Science and Technology; Song Jingwu, the deputy president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Yan Xuetong, the dean of the Department of International Relations of the Tsinghua University, participated in the conference and made speeches. There were more than 300 representatives presented at the conference, who were from various organizations or circles including state think tanks, media, educational circles of both sides; and related ministries and commissions, business circles, cultural circles, missions of Russia.
Li Hui, the Chinese ambassador in Russia, emphasized that: The China-Russia relation was experiencing an upward period of firmer basis, deeper reliance, and greater influence regionally and internationally. The better the China-Russia relation developed, the stronger strategic partner we would have during the two countries’ peaceful development and national revitalization, the more possibility we would obtain when maintaining international strategic balance and world’s peace and stability. China was willing to make efforts together with Russia to achieve a bright future of China-Russia relation.
Matviyenko firstly congratulated the 60th anniversary of China-Russia Friendship Association’s foundation, and spoke highly of its contribution to develop China-Russia relation. He mentioned that: “Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation” was held successfully in Beijing lately, and Russia issued a joint communique. President Putin proposed Russia was willing to actively cooperate with China to promote the building of the “Belt and Road”.
The cooperation within this field was beneficial not only to the development of the bilateral relation, but also to the acceleration of the Eurasian integration. Currently, China and Russia was positively implementing both the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty which was signed in 2015 and the Joint Statement on Cooperation of Building the “Belt and Road”. This would consolidate the basis of “Eurasian partnership”. The Russian Federation Council would constantly promote the local cooperation between the two countries, and president Xi’s visit to Russia later would definitely infuse into new motive force for the relation of the two countries.
