Recently, the 6th BRICS International Competition Conference was held in Moscow, the capital of Russia. Mr. Kejiang Liu, Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, was invited to attend the conference. The opening ceremony of the conference was held in Moscow. Mr. Siluanov, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, delivered an opening speech on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. It was followed by speeches of the Mayor of Moscow Mr. Sobyanin, and the head of BRICS competition agencies. The topic of the conference was "Ten Years of Cooperation Between the BRICS Competition Authorities: Results and Prospects". More than 300 representatives from competition agencies, non-governmental organizations and private sectors of China, Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa and over 40 other countries and regions attended the conference.
The BRICS International Competition Conference, jointly sponsored by the former State Administration for Industry and Commerce of China and the Federal Anti-monopoly Service of the Russian Federation and co-sponsored by BRICS competition agencies, is an important high-level practical event under the framework of BRICS leaders' meeting, which has been held every two years since 2009. In the past 10 years since the BRICS Competition Conference was first held, with the joint efforts of the five countries' competition agencies, many practical achievements that have an important impact in the field of world competition have been made. The heads of BRICS competition agencies jointly signed the Moscow Joint Statement as one of the outcomes of this conference.
