Representatives of the National Judges College and a Group of Judges from Mongolia Visited Beijing DHH Law Firm

On October 21, the exchange meeting on "China Law Firm Operation Model" was held at Beijing DHH Law Firm on the 12th floor of Yintai Cente. It was the second time a group of judges from overseas professional community visited Beijing DHH Law Firm in a month after the Latin American and Bolivian judges' seminar. More than 30 judges from Mongolia and the leaders of the National Judges College attended the meeting. They had in-depth exchanges and interactions with Ms. Shan Luan, Executive Vice President of DHH and Co-Executive Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, Mr. Kejiang Liu, Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, Dr. Bo Jiang, Executive Director, Ms. Ying Zhao, Managing Director and other law firm leaders and colleagues.

At 10 a.m., Ms. Shan Luan, Co-executive Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, as the host of the event, warmly welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude on behalf of Beijing DHH Law Firm for the long-term attention and support of the National Judges College.
During the first part of the meeting, Mr. Kejiang Liu, Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, and Mr. Xiaomin Li, Vice President of the National Judges College, delivered speeches as Chinese representatives attending the meeting. Director Kejiang Liu extended his greetings to the visiting Mongolian judges and expressed his gratitude to the members of the Judges College and the General Judicial Committee of Mongolia. Vice President Xiaomin Li affirmed the achievements of DHH Law Firm in the international development in recent years, and expressed his sincere thanks to the law firm on behalf of the National Judges College. He expressed his hopes that this activity will let the Mongolian judges have a better understanding of the Chinese legal community. Later, Mr. Batbayar•E, representative of the Mongolian Judges Group, member of the General Judicial Committee of Mongolia, introduced the current situation of the lawyer system of Mongolia to the participants of the event, and expressed heartfelt thanks for the warm reception of the National Judges College and Beijing DHH Law Firm.

During the second part, Dr. Bo Jiang, Executive Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, introduced China's Lawyer System from three aspects: the current situation of China's lawyers development, the current situation of China's law firms development, and the organizational structure of lawyers’ associations. Then, Ms. Ying Zhao, Managing Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, introduced the organizational structure of Beijing DHH Law Firm from the perspectives of corporate structure, awards， business model and culture.

During the third part, Ms. Shan Luan, Executive Vice President of DHH, introduced "The Review and Prospect of the International Development of Beijing DHH Law Firm", and put forward further plans for the development of foreign legal business of the law firm in the current international context.
In order to help guests better understand the working mode of Chinese law firms, during this meeting, the International Department of DHH and the representatives of young lawyers of the law firm involved in foreign affairs also introduced the modern office environment of the law firm to the leaders and guests of the National Judges College, and described the development process and achievements of the internationalization of the DHH Law Firm.
In the final interactive session of the exchange meeting, Mr. Kejiang Liu, Director of DHH Law Firm, and Ms. Ying Zhao, Managing Director, asked the Mongolian judges whether they had ever decided cases involving Chinese nationals or Chinese enterprises, what were the main problems faced by Chinese businessmen in their investment in Mongolia, whether Chinese lawyers can represent the cases in Mongolia, and whether they need to obtain the qualification for practicing law in Mongolia. Mongolian judges have conducted in-depth exchanges with DHH lawyers on the procedures for foreigners to hire lawyers in China, the acquisition of lawyers' qualification of foreign citizens in China, and strategic defense measures in cases with great social impact.
At the end of the discussion, on behalf of Beijing DHH Law Firm, Vice President Shan Luan, as one of the representatives of the special support units of the Global Lawyers Forum, introduced and shared the information on the Global Lawyers Forum to be held in Guangzhou in December. The judges showed great interest and asked for the ways to apply. The Mongolian judges and the leaders and colleagues of DHH Law Firm discussed the questions raised by both sides. The event successfully ended in a lively atmosphere.
The exchange meeting provided an opportunity for the communication between Mongolian and Chinese legal workers, and laid a foundation for DHH Law Firm to carry out legal cooperation in Mongolia in the future. Beijing DHH Law Firm hopes that lawyers from both sides will further strengthen exchanges and mutual learning, carry out practical cooperation, and jointly promote the bilateral legal cooperation under the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative to consolidate and deepen friendly relations between the two sides.
