Mr. Yuan Yao was Invited to Attend the SCO Countries Forum on Legal Service and Gave a Keynote Speech

From September 25 to 26, 2019, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization （SCO）Countries Forum on Legal Service with the theme of "Legal Services and Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation", sponsored by the Ministry of Justice of China and organized by the Shanghai Municipal Government, was held at the SCO International Judicial Exchange and Cooperation Training Base.
To implement the spirit of the important speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the SCO Summit in Qingdao, the forum aimed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among SCO member states, observer states and dialogue partners in the field of legal services. It let SCO Legal Services Committee play a role in providing legal support for economic and trade cooperation and continue to promote the establishment of the Legal Services Committee of the SCO Member States.
The meeting was attended by over 300 representatives of Chinese and foreign government departments, legal service industry, academia and the business community, including the Minister of Justice of China, Zhenghua Fu, Vice Minister Zhiqiang Liu, Mayor of Shanghai, Yong Ying, Deputy Mayor, Daoan Gong, Minister of Justice of Russia, Minister of Justice of Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Ministers of Justice of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, Mongolia and Turkey, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, the Secretariat of SCO, and the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Agency.
Invited by the organizer, Mr. Yuan Yao, Senior Partner of Beijing DHH Law Firm, attended the forum as a representative of the law firm and made a keynote speech on investment and construction of commercial dispute settlement mechanism between SCO countries. After the meeting, Mr. Yuan Yao had deep communication on the construction of transnational commercial dispute resolution mechanism with representatives from different countries, legal experts and scholars.
