DHH Moscow and St. Petersburg Legal Center, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Justice and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce Signed an Agreement to Jointly Build the Jiangsu Legal Services Center in Russia

On July 31st, 2019, the Promotion Conference on Jiangsu Foreign-related Legal Service & Signing Ceremony for Joint Building Overseas Legal Services Center was officially held. More than 200 representatives were invited to attend the Conference, including heads of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Justice and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce as well as the relevant governmental departments, leaders of more than 100 enterprises, and lawyers of law firms providing foreign-related legal services. At the Conference, more than 200 participants jointly discussed how to promote the development of foreign-related legal services in Jiangsu. Mr. Yuxiang Liu (Director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Justice), Mr. Changqing Zhou (Deputy Director-General of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce) and Mr. Yongxiang Huang (Director of Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Justice) were invited to attend meeting and deliver speeches.
In order to implement the Belt & Road Initiative and deepen the platform’s influence, as well as to provide high-quality and efficient legal services for Jiangsu enterprises to “go out”, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Justice, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, Legal Center of Beijing DHH Law Firm Moscow Office and St. Petersburg Office decided to sign a cooperative agreement through friendly consultation to jointly establish Jiangsu Belt & Road Legal Services Center in Russia.
On behalf of DHH St. Petersburg Law Center, lawyer Pengzhan Li of Beijing DHH (Nanjing) Law Firm signed a cooperative agreement with Vice-Director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Justice and Vice-Director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce to jointly build the Jiangsu Legal Services Center in Russia.
DHH Moscow and St. Petersburg Legal Center will play its role of bridge and bond to provide project docking, governmental communication and other services for Jiangsu enterprises, and also provide office space and other operation guarantee for the legal services center. In accordance with the agreement with Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, Beijing DHH (Nanjing) Law Firm will serve as the main service force to form long-term stable business contacts in Russia and accumulate legal services resources by organizing lawyers and law firms with political qualities and familiar with Russian policy and situation, so that to provide appropriate legal services.
