Legal Aid Center for Mainland People Residing in and Visiting Hong Kong was Established Today
On August 13th, the Legal Aid Center for Mainland People Residing in and Visiting Hong Kong was unveiled at the Office Tower of Convention Plaza. The Legal Aid Center is located at Beijing DHH Law Firm Hong Kong Office, providing legal aid services in accordance with the law to Chinese-mainland People who work in or visit Hong Kong, and ensure their safety and security as well as to improve their legal consciousness and happiness. The participating lawyers have expressed their willingness to devote themselves to the legal aid service work and contribute to the realization of social justice and impartiality.
Mainland lawyers provide free legal aid services to people residing in and visiting Hong Kong
Chunhua Liu, Minister of Legal Department of Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative, Lawyer Junyao He and Shaohu Luan, Chairman of the partner meeting in DHH, attended the inaugural ceremony.
According to Lawyer Shaohu Luan, the establishment of Legal Aid Center for Mainland People Residing in and Visiting Hong Kong is a significant action for Beijing DHH Law Firm facing the new situation and providing initiative legal services for mainland vulnerable groups in Hong Kong. Meanwhile it is an innovative development to promote public legal services.
It is reported that Beijing DHH Law Firm has been ranked among the Top 10 law firms in the Mainland in recent years. DHH Hong Kong Office was registered with the Law Society of Hong Kong in January 2018 with 5 licensed lawyers who registered in the Mainland. It has hosted over 20 legal lectures in Shenzhen and Hong Kong which receiving high praise by businessmen from Hong Kong who have investment in the Mainland.
More than 20 lawyers from three local law firms and Beijing DHH Law Firm (including Hong Kong Office, Shenzhen Office, Guangzhou Office, Beijing Office, etc.) attended the opening ceremony and became the first group of lawyers who on duty in the Legal Aid Center for Mainland People Residing in and Visiting Hong Kong.
