Lawyers of DHH Hong Kong Office was Invited to the Exchange Fair for Legal Counsels of Chinese-funded Enterprises in Hong Kong

On May 10th, 2019, Ms. Leyun Wu and Ms. Linlin Su from Beijing DHH Law Firm Hong Kong Office (hereinafter referred to as "DHH Hong Kong Office") were invited to participate in the First Session of Exchange Fair for Legal Counsels of Chinese-funded Enterprises in Hong Kong. The event was held by the Legal Professional Committee of Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and the Law Society of Hong Kong (HKLS) on the 50th Floor of the Office Tower, Wanchai Convention Plaza. Numerous representatives attended the event, including Vice-president Hua Zhu of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, Chairman Mao Du of the Legal Professional Committee of Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, and Chairman Yunxi Peng of the Law Society of Hong Kong, Chief Representative of China Chamber of International Commerce(CCOIC) to Hong Kong, Secretary General Wenying Wang of CIETAC Hong Kong, as well as more than 100 legal counsels from 50+ Chinese-invested enterprises and more than 50 HKLS members of HKLS. The event aimed to promote the relationship between Chinese-invested enterprises in Hong Kong and the HKLS, enhancing the mutual understanding and cooperation between the two sides, so that to blaze a trail for the cooperation between the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and HKLS.
At the meeting, Mr. Zeming Chen, Vice-President of the HKLS, mainly interpreted the compliance issues concerned by Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong, especially the relevant regulations on the right of legal professional confidentiality. Ms. Huimin Jian, General Manager of Legal Compliance and Risk Management Department of BOC, delivered a speech on Legal Work and Cooperation Model with External Lawyers of Chinese-funded Enterprises in Hong Kong, sharing her own working experience as a legal counsel in Chinese-founded enterprises and the requirements for external lawyers under the Cooperation Model.
As a specially-invested committee member of the Legal Professional Committee of Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, DHH Hong Kong Office actively performs its responsibilities and obligations, participates in various activities organized by the Association, and is committed to provide professional one-stop legal services for the members of the Association.
