Mr. Hao Chen Led a Delegation to Attend INTA Annual Meeting in Boston for the 6th Consecutive Year
The topics of the Meeting covered a serious of heat spots in the field of rapidly changing intellectual protection, including Fight against Counterfeiting and Plagiarism on the Internet and E-media, Global Changes One Year after the Signing of the GDPR, AI Application in the Trademark Field, Operation of IP Law Firms in the Era of Big Data, the Number of Revolution to Maximize the Perspective, and so on.
IP Team of DHH actively participated in the discussion of topics mentioned above with representatives of well-known IP law firms and officials from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Europe, America, Asia, Africa, Australia, etc., as well as elites in the fields of sport, aviation, IT, film&television, legal media and so on. The whole event was scheduled so compactly that Mr. Hao Chen, Ms. Chunhua Cui and Ms. Ying Li made full use of all platforms provided by INTA to strengthen communication and contact with international trademark practitioners for further information of IP protection. They also highlighted the tremendous progress made by China in IP protection in recent years and introduced a combination of administrative, civil and criminal means for foreign enterprises to protect their IP rights in China with DHH’s platform covering all China. At the same time, they exchanged views on the hot issues and trends of current trademarks. Besides, DHH lawyers actively communicated with excellent lawyers from different countries on the differences in intellectual property system and working characteristics from country to country.
Senior Judge Yuanming Qing from the Supreme People's Court IP Tribunal took the “Jordan” case as an example to share on How to Curb Malicious Trademark Applications in China. Foreign institutions showed so much interest in IP protection in China that DHH lawyers took this opportunity to briefly introduce the IP service provided by DHH, including patent, trademark, copyright and trade secrets, etc. They also welcomed foreign law firms to visit China and discuss further cooperation to promote IP protection under the background the new era. During the communication, DHH representatives established cooperation intention with many foreign firms and achieved the desired results. DHH will accordingly arrange more visits to law firms in America, Europe, ASEAN and so on for further exchange. This attendance in Boston is the sixth time for Mr. Hao Chen to lead the IP team to INTA Annual Meeting.
