Director Liang Mei of DHH Washington DC Office Attended the 2019 CGCC DC Annual Meeting

On 17th May, the 2019 CGCC DC Annual Meeting was held by CGCC DC Chapter in DLA Piper. Lawyer Liang Mei, on behalf of Beijing DHH Law Firm Washington DC Office the only law firm member of CGCC attended the event as a scrutineer to supervise and attest the election process. According to the nomination and election procedure stipulated by the CGCC statutes, General Manager Xu Tan of China Telecom Americas was elected as the new Chairman in a unanimous vote, and the new Vice Chairman are respectively served by General Delegate Zhenge Zhao of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in the United States, President He Sun of Tasly Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and General Manager Tong Zhang of China Unicom (Americas) Operations Ltd.
Mr. Hong Zhu, Minister of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United States, also attended the event and delivered a speech. In his speech, he shared the current negotiation progress of Sino-US Trade, and also proposed guidance and expectation on how CGCC DC Chapter should play its role in providing services for Chinese-funded enterprises and promoting Sino-US economic and trade cooperation. Beijing DHH Law Firm Washington DC Office will adhere to the leadership of Chairman Xu Tan and uphold the principle of CGCC to maintain positive communication with CGCC even in the sensitive period of Sino-US relationship, thus setting an objective and fair Chinese image to all the circles of America.
