The Fifth Round of DHH’s Road-Shows in America: Chicago—3+1 Blueprint on IP Protection for Foreign Enterprises in China
With the progress of Sino-US trade negotiation, Beijing DHH Law Firm upheld the concept of serving clients all around the world and formed a road-show group of senior IP lawyers including Mr. Hao Chen, Ms. Yuexi Yao, Mr. Yimin Liu, Mr. Liang Mei and Mr. Yanhui Yang to deliver lectures on 3+1 Blueprint on IP Protection for American Enterprises in China across the United States. Of the 3+1 Blueprint, “3” means administrative, civil and criminal methods for IP protection, and “1” means the DHH’s service platform covering the whole China.
On the afternoon of March 22nd, 2019, Beijing DHH Law Firm was invited to hold a Seminar on 3+1: Intellectual Property Protection for Foreign Enterprises in China in the conference room of Husch Blackwell Law Firm.
The Seminar was presided over by Mr. Aron, Head of Intellectual Property Team of Husch Blackwell Law Firm. First, Ms. Yuexi Yao shared the Annual Legal Report on IP Protection of American Enterprises in China (2018) with participants combining foreign investment and intellectual property protection, analyzing Sino-US Trade War issues from the perspective of IP rights. Next was Mr. Hao Chen who displayed the rapid development of Beijing DHH Law Firm and its branches around the world. Subsequently, Mr. Yimin Liu demonstrated the process of IP investigating criminal liability and the relationship among criminal, civil and preservation measures in combination with specific cases from the perspective of criminal protection of IP.
The speeches and sharing given by the three lawyers aroused great interest of the audience. The audience said that the Chinese’s IP rights awareness has been strengthened obviously and they would pay more attention to prevention and control of IP risks in enterprises. After the Seminar, representatives from Beijing DHH Law Firm and Husch Blackwell Law Firm had a further discussion and reached an agreement to strengthen legal cooperation in the future.
This Seminar was the last round of DHH’s Road-Shows in America on the IP protection for American enterprises in China under the background of Sino-US Trade War.
