Senior Patent Consultants Attended the Annual Winter Meeting of the American Intellectual Property Law Association

From January 30th to February 2nd, 2019, the 2019 Annual Winter Meeting of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) was successfully held in Tampa, Florida. Compared with the Autumn Meeting, this Winter Meeting brought together almost all its members, including the Senior Partners from Finnegan Law Firm, Fish & Richardson Law Firm, and the Chief IP Advisers from IBM (International Business Machines Corporation), GE (General Electrics) and other Top 500 enterprises in the USA. Ms. Ying Li, Co-partner & Senior Patent Counsel of Beijing DHH Law Firm, was invited to attend the Meeting.

Ms. Ying Li was very interactive during the meeting and took full advantages of the various communication platform provided by AIPLA to make exchanges with American patent practitioners, discussing the current hot issues on patent and commercial secrets and the development trend of Sino-US trade. Meanwhile, Ms. Li actively introduced the current IP practice of DHH to pave the way for IP Team to provide more professional legal services for international clients. Ultimately, Ms. Li successfully established a cooperative relationship with a number of IP law firms and invited some American IP law firms to visit Deheng Law Group for closer and deeper cooperation.

The Winter Meeting popularized the legal practice of IP Law in America from various perspectives of patent application, patent litigation, trademark & copyright, commercial secret, and patent licensing & enforcement, etc.

The American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), headquartered in Arlington County, Virginia, is a national voluntary bar association, consisting of nearly 14,000 members, covering the individual lawyers and the lawyers from private legal organizations, governmental organizations and other academic circle. Established in 1897, AIPLA aims to promote the IP legislation and its interpretation in court, provide legal education in IP to the public and AIPLA members, and maintain a high-level professional ethics.
