DHH Lawyers Were Invited to Give Legal Lectures to Hong Kong Residents
Since 2006, under the guidance of Ministry of Justice, CLS and Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) have jointly organized the "Mainland Voluntary Legal Consultation" Activity for all Hong Kong residents, and received positive responses. To further deepen Hong Kong residents’ understanding of Mainland’s laws and regulations, CLS especially invited lawyers from Beijing DHH Law Firm Hong Kong Office and Beijing DHH (Shenzhen) Law Firm to give a series of lectures and consultations on Chinese law to Hong Kong residents, and voluntarily explained them legal issues they concerned.
The former lecture was held at the Headquarter of Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) on July 7, 2018. Mr. Ti Zhao, Lawyer from Beijing DHH (Shenzhen) Law Firm, gave a lecture on "Common Legal Issues Related to Cross-border Marriage between Hong Kong and Mainland" to Hong Kong residents about common problems of divorce legal disputes in Mainland China. Lawyer Zhao explained to the audience about the selection of divorce methods, property division, custody right and compensation after divorce, and answered questions raised by the audience. Senior Partner Guihe Wen, Partner Leyu Wu, Lawyer Sen Ye, Lawyer Linlin Su also attended the event.
With the approval of Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China, China Legal Service (H.K.) Ltd was registered in Hong Kong in 1987 to provide cross-border legal services for residents and institutions in Mainland China and Hong Kong. Besides, it is committed to enhancing the legal exchanges between Mainland China and Hong Kong, as well as promoting the connection and cooperation among judicial institutions and legal service institutions of the two sides. Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (for short DAB) was established on July 10, 1992, and enjoyed great influence in Hong Kong.
