Symposium on “the Past, Nowadays and Future of Securities Lawyers” Held
On March 17, 2012, Beijing DHH Law Firm successfully held a symposium on “ the Past, Nowadays and Future of Securities Lawyers”, which invited representatives from some professional institutions from both China and overseas like Shanghai Stock Exchange, GF Securities , Huatai United Securities, Piper Jaffray Asia Securities, Morrison & Foerster LLP and Orrick LLP from U.S., and Pinsent Masons LLP from U.K. etc, who are senior experts respectively in listed company supervision, domestic sponsor underwriting, HK sponsor underwriting, securities legal practice. Senior partner Ding Xu of Beijing DHH Law Firm presides over the symposium.
The participants compared and analyzed the difference among understanding systems of China mainland, HK, U.S. and U.K., as well as different cooperation models for securities brokers and securities lawyers. Looking forward to the future all participants believed that Chinese capital market would gradually become more mature, which would guarantee further cooperation between securities brokers and lawyers.
