Representatives of RSPP and Beijing DHH Law Firm Visited HKIAC

Recently, Mr. Sergey Borovskiy, Chief Asian Representative of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Lawyer Qi Jiang, General Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, and Lawyer Sen Ye from Beijing DHH Law Firm Hong Kong Office visited Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre（HKIAC）, delivering a friendly exchange with Ms. Sarah Grimmer (Secretary-general of HKIAC) on how to provide effective dispute resolution mechanism for possible international commercial issues during the Chinese and Russian enterprises’ investment.
Under the commission from Mr. Alexander N.SHOKHIN, President of RSPPAC, Mr. Sergey communicated with HKIAC for future cooperation. He introduced the history and development of RSPPAC and expressed his aspiration to promoting international commercial arbitration through further in-depth cooperation.
Lawyer Qi Jiang shared DHH experience in international commercial arbitration for overseas investment disputes, and exchanged views on enlarging influence of HKIAC and RSPPAC among clients to play their role in dispute resolution over international commercial affairs.
The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Arbitration Centre (RSPPAC), as one of the four local permanent arbitration institutions in Russia, was established by Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) receiving unanimous recognition from Russian enterprises. HKIAC was approved in April 2019 as a permanent arbitration institution in Russia, becoming the first overseas arbitration institution by the Federal Department of Justice. This visit promoted exchanges among Beijing DHH Law Firm, RSPP and HKIAC on international commercial arbitration, providing an opportunity to explore the diversified settlement mechanism of commercial disputes between Chinese and Russian enterprises.
