Mr. Kejiang Liu and Mr. Hao Chen Attended the 2019 Government Affairs Annual Conference & the Releasing Ceremony of 2019 American Business in China White Paper

On the morning of April 18th, 2019, the 2019 Government Affairs Annual Conference and the Releasing Ceremony of 2019 American Business in China White Paper was held at The Ritz-Carlton (Beijing). Numerous members of AmCham China, as well as experts and scholars from governmental departments, think-tanks, enterprises and academic institutions, were invited to attend the Conference. They discussed about the new situation and the changing governmental affairs, and witnessed the releasing of 2019 American Business in China White Paper altogether.
 


Mr. Kejiang Liu, Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm, and Mr. Hao Chen, Senior Partner of DHH, attended the Conference.
 


The Annual Conference was moderated by Mr. Tim Stratford, Chairman of AmCham China and Managing Partner of Covington & Burling LLP Beijing Office, who delivered a welcome speech to all the participants expressing his gratitude and hope for their continuous support to AmCham and encouraging them to actively participate in the discussion.
 


The theme of the first panel of the Conference was on the releasing of 2019 American Business in China White Paper. Mr. Randal Phillips (Managing Partner for Asia of Mintz Group),  Mr. Matthew Murray (Ministerial-Counselor for Economic Affairs of US Embassy Beijing), Mr. Lester Ross (Partner of WilmerHale), Mr. Duanzhi She (Vice President of Government & Public Affairs in Greater China of Nike Sports), Mr. Patrick Wang (Senior Vice President of EF Education First), and Mr. Wen Wang (Executive Dean of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University of China) took part in the discussion.
 

 


The second panel themed on “ Bridging the Gap: the Evolving Role of GA”. Participants in the discussion were: Ms. Lin Gao (CEO of Message Coach), Mr. Max Chen (Vice President of Government Affairs & Policy of GE China), Ms. Min Qin (Vice President for Public Affairs of Mars China), Mr. Min Yi (Chief Adviser China of MTR), and Ms. Jane Zhang (President of DaoHe Consulting).
 

 


At the end, Mr. Bing Zhou, Chairman of the AmCham China Chinese Government Affairs Committee & Vice President of Dell in Greater China, made closing remarks. He hoped this Conference would enable American enterprises to calmly face the current unpredictable international situation and the unpredictable China-US economic and trade relations in the future through better understanding the policy environment and handling the relationship between enterprises and the government. The Conference ended in a warm atmosphere.
