DHH Wins the Bid for Domestic Legal Service Project of Weichai

On 30 April 2021, with solid professional compliance management and service capacities, Beijing DHH Law Firm won the bid for domestic legal service project of Weichai Holding Group (“Weichai”) and its subsidiaries.
Founded in 1946, Weichai has over 95,000 employees worldwide. With the annual revenue of more than 300 billion RMB in 2020, Weichai ranks the 83th among China’s top 500 enterprises, the 23th among China’s top 500 manufacturing enterprises, and the 2nd among China’s machinery industry top 100 enterprises.
Weichai is a multi-field and multi-industry international group which owns powertrain, vehicle, construction machinery, intelligent logistics, agricultural machinery, marine transportation equipment and other business segments. The subsidiaries of Weichai Group spread all over Europe, North America, Asia, and other regions, and its products are exported to more than 110 countries and regions. Weichai Group has 9 stocks from 7 listing companies: Weichai Power (2338.HK; 000338.SZ), Weichai Heavy Machinery（000880.SZ）， Asiastar Bus （600213.SH）, and KION Group (KGX.F).
Such tendering is highly demanding on the years of incorporation, scale, deployment of lawyers and experiences of team. It is said that several dozens of leading law firms and teams have participated in bidding.
The required services involve multiple areas such as domestic compliance management, labor, IP, environmental protection, anti-trust, data protection, asset disposal and export control. Led by Tao Guanghui, the Senior Partner of DHH, a professional legal service team was formed, which developed a well drafted pitch, went to the headquarters of Weichai to participate in bidding and won the bid finally.
