Three lawyers from DHH were invited to participate in the 2020 annual meeting of the International Economic Law Research Society of the Chinese Law Society

A few days ago, the 2020 Annual Conference of the International Economic Law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society and the second China (Hainan) Free Trade Port High-end Forum were successfully held in Haikou, Hainan. This forum is organized by the International Economic Law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society, the Hainan Provincial Law Society, Hainan Vocational College of Political Science and Law, the International Economic and Trade Law Research Society of the Hainan Provincial Law Society, and the "Nanhai Law" magazine. The theme of the forum is "International Governance System Reform and Innovation of the Rule of Law in Free Trade Ports", centering on "Legal Construction of Free Trade Ports and Free Trade Zones", "Frontier Issues of International Economic Law", "International Financial Law", "International Dispute Resolution", "Public Crisis and International Economic Law Responses" In-depth discussion on 5 topics including ". It has strong practical, theoretical and strategic significance.
The three lawyers of Beijing DHH Law Firm, Chen Yanhong, Wei Qingpo, and Ye Shuli, participated in the conference as outstanding academic representatives and exhibited their academic achievements. They worked with many domestic university teachers, experts, scholars, and researchers to jointly study the construction and development of free trade ports. The development of international economic rule of law opens up development space and contributes development ideas for our country's free trade port and the construction of international economic rule of law.
Chen Yanhong, an assistant professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of North China Electric Power University, gave the speech entitled "Digital Currency Development of the Central Bank of China: Current Situation, System Architecture, Operational Mechanism and Governance Path Analysis". Lawyer Chen Yanhong introduced the Central Bank Digital Currency of the PBOC, the system architecture and operation mechanism of the PBOC, the value and challenge of the PBOC digital currency system.
Wei Qingpo, a lawyer at DHH Law Firm in Beijing and an assistant professor at the Capital University of Economics and Trade, delivered the speech entitled "A Study of the Impact of Trump's Populist Conservatism on US Environmental Policy." Starting from the United States’ withdrawal from the Paris Agreement in 2017, Lawyer Wei Qingpo analyzed the three main reasons why American conservatism opposed environmental protection and climate policy: social cultural conservatism emphasizes religious beliefs and opposition to rationalism and hostility to environmental protection; financial conservatism in the economy, and pursuit of the limited government rejects environmental protection policies; adopting defense conservatism in diplomacy, and the concept of "new heaven determines destiny" influences US foreign policy.
Ye Shuli of Beijing DHH Law Firm made the speech entitled "Overseas Compliance of Enterprises — A Typical Case of U.S. Export Control and Economic Sanctions Compliance". The speech of Lawyer Ye is mainly based on China's new "Export Control Law", and described two typical cases. Ye pointed out that trade control is a widely used administrative method in the past three years, and this administrative method has been widely used against China by the United States in recent years. Therefore, it is necessary to interpret export control from the perspective of compliance.
The forum will be held online and offline. More than 100 leaders, experts, scholars and students from all over the country attended the meeting.
