On 15th June, 2018, the Forum on Employment & Entrepreneurship for Chinese Students in St. Petersburg was successfully held in National Research University - Higher School of Economics Saint Petersburg.
The Forum aimed to help the graduate students to carry out career planning after their graduation. Representatives from the consulates and government departments were invited to introduce foreign students' policies, and many senior corporate representatives were also present to analyze the employment standard and purpose of enterprises for all the students.

Mr. Lailing Sun, Consul of The Education Office of Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in St. Petersburg, stated that there were more than 220 thousand students returning to China after their graduation from abroad at present and that the motherland welcomed and supported them to return home to actively participate in her building and development. Meanwhile, he noted that all the graduates should objectively face up with the increasing employment pressures. Besides, he assisted the students to analyze their job prospects in large, medium and small cities respectively, and put forward four proposals on job orientation for the large population of graduates with oversea degrees to have a reference.
The Chief Partner and Director of St. Petersburg Office of Beijing DHH Law Firm, was invited to attend the Forum. He briefly introduced the general situation, scale and development direction of Beijing DHH Law Firm and provided the graduates with pertinent suggestions on their employment based on his personal practice. In addition, the Director talked about the scarcity of talent to deal with Russian related affairs, notably the most needed talent is the kind of so called compound talent with outstanding comprehensive qualities. What’s more, he suggested that all graduates should be clear about their job orientation, enrich their social practice, integrate social resources and improve their personal abilities while being a master in terms of language, thus striving to become a compound talent with specialty, broadening choices of employment and enhancing their personal development.
Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Shandong Weihai Committee of the CPC led a delegation to attend the Forum, and he elaborated the new talent policies. Besides, representative from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd, Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd and Sichuan International Studies University also presented and gave pertinent suggestions and sincere wishes to all the graduates.
The Forum was warmly welcomed by the Chinese students in St. Petersburg, and made them fully awarded of the warm care and concern from the motherland and their native compatriot.
