DHH Lawyers Attend Course Training “Leading Talents” of International Lawyers by ACLA

On August 5 the first Course to Train the “Leading Talents” of International Lawyers opened in Beijing. Deputy Minister Zhao Dacheng from the Justice Ministry was present at the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.  Senor Partner and Deputy Director Liu Kejiang and Partner Han Qimeng from DHH attended the Course.

The All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) formulated “The Cultivation Plan for Leading Talents of Highly-Qualified International Lawyers” and obtained financial support from the central government. The Plan was to develop 300 highly-qualified lawyers with international vision and proficiency in international practice. These would include:

a) 120 lawyers who are proficient in international investment, cross-border M&A and international finance and securities so as to serve the “strategy of going abroad” of large and medium-sized enterprises
b) 150 lawyers who are proficient in WTO rules on dispute settlement, anti-dumping, countervailing and IP protection, so to serve the development of the nation’s foreign trade and the enhancement of Chinese enterprises’ competition in international trade
c) 30 lawyers who are proficient in safeguarding rights and interests in areas of energy, resources, ocean and space etc so to serve the nation’s general development strategy and national interest safeguarding.
