DHH Hosted Lecture on “Beijing High Court’s Guide to Trials of Internet IP Cases (Copyright Section)”

On August 12, 2016, lawyer Xiao Yuncheng, member of the Information Technology and Internet Practice Team, held a lecture regarding “Beijing High Court’s Guide to Trials of Internet Intellectual Property Cases”. Director of the team, Mr. Yao Kefeng, presided the lecture, while team members and other colleagues attended the lecture. Mr. Xiao believes that the “Guide” is in fact a redefinition of the provisions with respect to the problem of responsibility sharing in providing evidence for network copyright cases; the provisions, which demand evidence from internet content providers to prove that they have not uploaded infringing works, have exacerbated the responsibilities of internet content providers. Furthermore, Mr. Xiao introduced some other acts of network copyright infringement, as well as methods of raising evidence; participating lawyers benefitted greatly from this lecture.
