Last week, Yi Zhang, senior consultant and Linlin Su, managing director of Beijing DHH Law Firm Hong Kong Office visited Hong Kong Lawyers Association. Jiajin Mao, chairman of Hong Kong Lawyers Association, delivered a warm reception and exchanged views with them.
With the acceleration of the economic integration and the development of trade between Hong Kong and the mainland of China, the potential demand for legal services was sprouting, including cross-border investment, financing, M&A, dispute resolution, etc. It has become a trend for Hong Kong lawyers to know the laws in the Mainland of China, and for Chinese lawyers to know the Common Law System. The two sides exchanged views on the promotion to the legal service system construction in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the potential of legal services and cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland. Both two sides looking forward to making more contribution to the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The two sides reached an initial intent of futural multilateral cooperation through this visit.

Hong Kong Lawyers Association, established on July 1st 2012, is an association organized by Hong Kong lawyers with Chinese bar qualifications, aiming to provide Hong Kong citizens with Chinese legal and policy advice, conduct lectures to enhance legal awareness and promote legal Communication and cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland of China.
