On the afternoon of March 10th, 2025, in order to enhance Chinese enterprises' experience in Indian arbitration practice and their ability to prevent and control legal risks, and to deepen the exchanges of legal practice between China and India, the special training on Indian arbitration practice sponsored by the Shandong Lawyers Association, the Foreign-related Arbitration Professional Committee of Shandong Arbitration Association, the International Trade Arbitration Court of Qingdao Arbitration Commission, and the Foreign-related Legal Affairs Zone of Qingdao Central Legal-services District was successfully held.

The specialized training on Indian arbitration practice was chaired by Lawyer ZHANG Meiping, who is the Director of Beijing DHH (Qingdao) Law Firm, Director of the Foreign-related Dispute Resolution Committee of the Shandong Lawyers Association, and President of the International Trade Arbitration Court of the Qingdao Arbitration Commission.
Laywer Kapil Arora, Partner of the Indian law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, along with Lawyer Palak Nagar and Lawyer Manjula Baxla attended the event in person, joined by several members from the Foreign-related Dispute Resolution Committee of the Shandong Lawyers Association, the Qingdao Arbitration Commission and other related units. Other legal professionals and law students from various universities also participated in the training. The event also drew an online audience of approximately 2,000 participants.

During the specialized training session, Kapil Arora and his team provided a systematic analysis of key issues based on Indian judicial practice, including the drafting of arbitration clauses, the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards in India, the selection of the seat of arbitration and arbitral institutions, as well as the development of emergency arbitration. Participants engaged in further discussions with the speakers in response to the insights shared by the Indian legal team. After the session, the Indian delegation paid a visit to Beijing DHH (Qingdao) Law Firm for an in-depth exchange and engagement.
