
The lecture centered on a recent overseas arbitration case handled by Lawyer Li Zhuying at the Arbitration Court of the Castellón Chamber of Commerce in the Valencian Community, Spain. Lawyer Li skillfully employed Socratic questioning to guide the audience step by step into the heart of the case, facilitating an interactive review. Starting from contract formation, he progressed layer by layer through key aspects such as the emergence of the dispute, the initiation of arbitration, the applicable law, the focal points of contention, and courtroom strategies. By integrating Chinese law, Spanish law, CISG, and international commercial practices relevant to the case, he stimulated the participants to contemplate practical strategies for resolving cross-border disputes.
