To help Qingdao enterprises avoid intellectual property risks and achieve high-quality development during their global expansion, the "Breaking Barriers: The Era of Going Global" practical lecture on foreign-related intellectual property risk prevention was successfully held on November 25, 2025. The event was hosted by the Qingdao Public Service Center for Small and Medium Enterprises and co-organized by Beijing DHH (Qingdao) Law Firm and Qingdao Enterprise Service Group Co., Ltd., attracting over 2,800 enterprise representatives to participate online and offline.

The lecture featured Yang Tao, a lawyer from Beijing DHH (Qingdao) Law Firm, as the keynote speaker. Under the theme "Foreign-Related Intellectual Property Protection—High-Quality Global Expansion and Implementation," he delivered an in-depth sharing session covering topics such as the types of intellectual property risks faced by enterprises going global, interpretation and application of international intellectual property rules, and comparisons of intellectual property protection mechanisms in typical countries/regions.

Drawing on years of practical experience in foreign-related intellectual property, Lawyer Yang Tao analyzed real-world cases of trademark squatting and patent infringement encountered by enterprises during global expansion. He detailed practical strategies for overseas exhibitions and market expansion and provided targeted recommendations to help enterprises clarify the "blind spots" and "challenges" in intellectual property protection during their global journey.

"I used to think intellectual property protection was 'a slow remedy that couldn't address urgent needs,' but after attending the lecture, I realized that early planning can help enterprises avoid many pitfalls," said one enterprise representative. The sharing session provided enterprises with a clearer understanding of intellectual property risk prevention in global expansion, and many expressed plans to improve their compliance systems based on their specific business needs.

This lecture is an important part of the "Empowering Enterprises, Boosting Development" series organized by the Qingdao Public Service Center for Small and Medium Enterprises. It aims to provide professional legal guidance and build a "safe harbor" for enterprises going global. Future events will focus on topics such as cross-border compliance and overseas market expansion, offering more practical insights for enterprises.
