Delegation from Hong Kong Department of Justice and Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Justice Visits DHH (Shenzhen) for Exchange and Guidance

  On November 7th, a delegation including Li Jiawen, Acting Assistant Principal Government Counsel of the Hong Kong Department of Justice; Zhang Ying, Deputy Director of the Office of Foreign-related Legal Affairs of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Justice; Xiao Nan, Third-Level Staff Member; Li Yadi, Legal Staff; and He Jiaxin, Postdoctoral Fellow from the Renmin University of China Shenzhen Research Institute, visited Beijing DHH (Shenzhen) Law Firm for an exchange and guidance session. They were warmly received by Wen Guihe, Senior Equity Partner and Director of DHH (Shenzhen); Tang Zhifeng, Senior Equity Partner and Director of DHH (Qianhai) Joint Operation Office; Equity Partners Kong Xia and Zhao Qiannan; Zhao Zhigang, Partner of Siu & Associates and Greater Bay Area Lawyer; Ding Yanni, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Qianhai International Commercial Mediation Center; and Wu Jiansheng, Minister of the Publicity Department of the Qianhai Belt and Road Legal Services Federation. Both sides held a symposium focusing on foreign-related legal work.

  Before the symposium, the Hong Kong Department of Justice and Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Justice delegation gained an in-depth understanding of DHH (Shenzhen)'s office environment, cultural development, and professional structure, expressing appreciation for the firm's exploration in integrating legal services with firm culture.

  During the symposium, Director Wen Guihe introduced the practice of joint operation law firms involving Hong Kong and Macao lawyers in the mainland, highlighting the advantages of DHH (Qianhai) Joint Operation Office, which features "Tripartite Joint Operation and Coverage of Three Legal Jurisdictions", in providing legal services to cross-border Shenzhen-Hong Kong enterprises and serving as a vital bridge connecting the Mainland with the Hong Kong and Macao legal markets. He also shared the development experience of DHH (Hong Kong), noting that through the collaboration between the Hong Kong branch and Mainland offices, localized legal support is provided to overseas branches of Shenzhen enterprises, establishing a "Domestic + Overseas" legal service chain. DHH (Shenzhen) has also introduced several Greater Bay Area Lawyers, leveraging their professional expertise in civil and commercial litigation and non-litigation matters to achieve complementary enhancement of legal service capabilities between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

  Regarding the core topic of "Shenzhen and Hong Kong Legal Practitioners Jointly Assisting Shenzhen Enterprises in Going Global," Lawyer Li Jiawen emphasized Hong Kong's unique advantages as an international legal and dispute resolution services center in areas such as enterprise cross-border compliance and international dispute resolution. She expressed the hope that the legal communities of Shenzhen and Hong Kong could establish a coordinated mechanism for legal services supporting enterprises going global, integrating professional resources from both places to form a synergistic service capability. Deputy Director Zhang Ying pointed out that Shenzhen will further improve its foreign-related legal service system, aiming to make Shenzhen-Hong Kong legal cooperation a significant legal engine driving the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area.
