From July 9 to 11, DHH attorney John Tang attended the SCG Legal Asia Pacific Regional Meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mr. Tang was invited to speak on two key topics: (1) regional cooperation and strategic progress despite U.S. tariff impacts, and (2) current trends and the future outlook for mergers and acquisitions in the Asia Pacific region.
The event brought together representatives from 17 law firms across 14 countries, alongside over 100 global businesses operating in the region. The keynote address was delivered by YB Dato’ Sri Azalina binti Othman Said, Malaysia’s Minister of Law and Institutional Reform, who emphasized the importance of cross-border cooperation—a theme that echoed the discussions taking place concurrently at the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, also held in Kuala Lumpur.
