Recently, Lawyer DU Yue, Senior Equity Partner at Beijing DHH (Shanghai) Law Firm, together with Lawyer ZHANG Wanlin and Lawyer LYU Chang, successfully assisted a leading wood furniture enterprise in Jiangsu in completing the capital increase filing for a USD 20 million overseas direct investment (ODI) in Indonesia. The team assisted the project in smoothly going through multiple handling procedures and successfully handled the capital increase filing for the overseas investment project, obtained the enterprise's overseas investment certificate, and completed the foreign exchange registration for the enterprise.

This investment project leverages Indonesia's position as the largest economy in Southeast Asia and aligns closely with the synergy between China's Belt and Road Initiative and Indonesia's Global Maritime Fulcrum strategy. By completing the ODI procedures, the furniture enterprise not only takes advantage of Indonesia’s low-cost production factors to expand its manufacturing capacity but also taps into the country's extensive network of trade agreements with multiple nations, enabling it to expand into the North American and European markets. This cross-border industrial layout demonstrates the strategic foresight of Chinese manufacturing enterprises in "going global" and participating in international capacity cooperation.

In addition to providing ODI filing services, the International Business Department of Beijing DHH (Shanghai) Law Firm also offers diversified value-added services to enterprises investing in Indonesia. Leveraging DHH's global legal service network, DHH International Projects Business Center established close cooperation with local law firms and other professional institutions in Indonesia, enabling it to deliver full-cycle legal support covering investment entry, project implementation, and operational management, thereby helping enterprises achieve steady and sustainable development in the Southeast Asian market.
