China Arbitration Week—The 4th BRICS Arbitration Forum Successfully Held

  On September 18, 2025, “China Arbitration Week—The 4th BRICS Arbitration Forum: BRICS Arbitration, BRICS Power Contributing to Global Governance and Common Development” was successfully held in Beijing. Organized by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and hosted by Beijing DHH Law Firm, the forum received support from more than ten institutions and organizations, including the Institute of International Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA), the Bar Council of India (BCI), the Brazil BRICS Research Institute, the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (ICAC), the National Arbitration Commission of Indonesia (BANI), the Mediation and Arbitration Chamber of the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce (CAMARB), the Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre (ADIAC), the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), the Thailand International Arbitration Center (THIAC), and Weihai International Arbitration Court. The event featured speeches from over twenty experts, including arbitrators, lawyers, scholars, and industry representatives from China and abroad. The forum was conducted both online and offline, with over 11,000 views online.

  The first session of this year’s BRICS Arbitration Forum was chaired by Dr. Liu Kejiang, Director of Beijing DHH Law Firm and President of Weihai International Arbitration Court, and featured discussions centering on "The Interaction between the Global Economy and the Legal Arbitration Mechanisms of BRICS Countries". The third session featured a panel discussion chaired by Dr. Liu Rundong, Equity Partner and Secretary-General of the International Business Department of Beijing DHH Law Firm, focusing on the theme "Users of BRICS Arbitration". This year’s forum facilitated in-depth discussions on priority and topical issues in arbitration within the context of BRICS power contributing to global governance and common development. The on-site guests engaged in lively exchanges, culminating in a fully successful event.
