On January 9th, 2025, the Coucil and 2024 General Meeting of the Shandong Cross-Border E-Commerce Association were grandly held in Jinan. In response to the evolving needs of the cross-border e-commerce industry, the association established a people's mediation committee to promote relevant laws, regulations, and policies, while enhancing the legal awareness and risk prevention capabilities of member enterprises.
The committee consists of 10 members from various sectors, including the association, cross-border e-commerce enterprises, law firms, and consulting companies. Lawyer ZHANG Xiaoxuan, Senior Equity Partner of Shandong Deheng Law Firm, was appointed Deputy Director. Lawyer SUN Yi, Senior Equity Partner of Beijing DHH (Shanghai) Law Firm, and Lawyer YUE Bo, Senior Co-Managing Partner of Beijing DHH (Jinan) Law Firm, were appointed as committee members.
In the future, these three lawyers will fully perform their duties by assisting the Shandong Cross-Border E-Commerce Association in promoting relevant laws, regulations, and policies, enhancing legal awareness, and improving risk prevention capabilities for member enterprises. They will also help establish and refine mediation work systems and processes, standardize the mediation procedures, and handle various cross-border e-commerce disputes. Additionally, they will summarize mediation experiences, analyze the characteristics and trends of industry disputes, provide risk warnings and prevention advice to member enterprises, and strengthen communication and collaboration with judicial authorities, arbitration institutions, and other relevant departments to establish an effective dispute resolution mechanism, ensuring the legality and authority of mediation efforts.
